Welcome to a hotel with a family feel in Grande Rivière, in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park, at an altitude of 900m on the Grandvaux plateau, a paradise for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in winter and its waterfront location with private beach in summer.

With a genuine passion for hospitality, the family offers guests a peaceful, relaxing and gourmet stay at a sophisticated boutique hotel, recognised by Logis Hotel as an “Hôtel Élégance” and “Restaurant Savoureux (elegant property and the pleasure of fine cuisine), labeled as tourism quality (The Qualité Tourisme ™ brand is the only brand of State attributed to tourism professionals for the quality of their welcome and their services) , the restaurant is referenced in the Gault and Millau guide. Francis Piot is a graduate of the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne-EHL (Lausanne hotel school), and the thoughtfulness of his wife Michèle in the dining room are the assurance of a successful stay and holidays.

Visit the hotel’s restaurant to enjoy local cuisine with a modern twist, prepared with fresh, local and premium ingredients and cooked in the hotel’s kitchen.

Francis Piot and his team serve delicious regional specialities (gratin of quenelles made with lake-caught pike and comté cheese, local perch fillets served with lemon butter),

accompanied by local wines (from Arbois, Château-Chalon and many more). We change our menu with the seasons because we only use fresh, seasonal ingredients!

Half-board for hotel guests : fresh, tasty and regional cuisine served with attention, highlighting tableware. Every evening a different menu consisting of an appetizer, starter, main course, cheese on the plate and dessert, of presentation and quality equivalent to the dishes served à la carte and always 100% homemade. The half-board menu follows the chef's inspirations and the seasons, it is revealed the day before for the next day. Trust the Chef, cooking is his passion and his job ! Our cuisine is of high quality and half-board is always the best value for money. The half-board formula allows you to have a guaranteed table for dinner. The half-board formula is a preferential rate including dinner set menu, breakfast buffet and unlimited pool/spa access. Menu with portions adapted for children or children's menu. The half-board menu is not a choice of dishes on our "à la carte menu".

Comfortable rooms with boutique charm

Boasting stunning views of the Lac de l’Abbaye, each of the 26 rooms at Hotel de l’Abbaye has air conditioning, a direct-dial telephone, a flat-screen television and a bathroom with a shower or a bath tub and a toilet. All rooms can be reached by the hotel’s lift, ensuring disabled access, and two rooms have been specifically designed for disabled guests.
